Summary
Huqqa snake - Part of a collection of huqqa snakes and pipes. A huqqa snake with pipe ensuite (T.11.3a/b); the snake covered with black silk and with decoration in gold thread and gilt foil strips, the pattern of double diagonal lines with diamond motifs between; the bungs covered in black silk threads. Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963
