Summary
Huqqa pipe - Part of a collection of huqqa snakes and pipes. A huqqa pipe, the bamboo stems with bands of woven silver gilt foil and thread, the gilt foil in a raised diamond pattern; the bung with a trellis net of black silk. Mughal style, mid 18th century. Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
