Summary
Huqqa snake - Part of a collection of huqqa snakes and pipes. A huqqa snake (T.11.13a) covered in white cotton bound with white silk, the ends decorated with fine silver gilt thread. The pipe (T.11.13b) with a wooden core covered in white silk decorated with bands of fine silver gilt thread and with red and silver chevron bands; the bungs covered in white cotton bound with white silk thread. Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
