Summary
Fly whisk - One of a pair of fly whisks, with trumpet-shaped, silver gilt handles, the hairs of the whisk made with shaved porcupine quills, calico pad and silver gilt thread bindings. N.India (possibly Oudh), 18th century.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
