Summary
Fly whisk handle - The sard cup and the finial carved as lotus buds, the cup lined with silver; the tapering onyx shaft assembled on a steel rod and set with rubies and emeralds in two bands below the cup. Mughal, mid 18th century

Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
