Summary
Fly whisk with substantial turned handle with tapering shaft and turned mouldings. The thinly shaved ivory 'hairs' held in place with bindings of silk and tinsel braid. Bengal, 18th century. Viewing right fly whisk in image.

Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
