Stick; Goad - Elephant goad (ankus); with turned ivory handle with two bands of red lacquer decoration; the steel goad silvered and gilt, and with a gilt-bronze ferrule. South India, 18th century.

Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
