Summary
Fly whisk - One of three fly whisks with thin, turned ivory shafts and the palm fronds set in carved calyx-like cups. Probably S.India, c.1800. Viewing left fly whisk in image.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
