Summary
Wooden scabbard overlaid with silver, with foliate repousee decoration on a ring-matted ground; the image of the goddess Shri (Lakshimi) who holds a lotus plant in each hand, in centre of one side. Sri Lanka, 18th century.
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
