Summary
Steel helmet, with chiselled inscription on a ring matted ground, applied nasal, plume holders and finial (part missing), all with overlaid gold decoration; the rivetted mail-guard of steel and brass links. Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
