Summary
Large bone china saucer with floral banding and cypher, from a twelve piece of late 18th century Crown Derby tea and coffee service banded in lemon yellow with gold edging and the Royal cypher GR surmounted by a crown, some with floral band in gold and festoons at the rim, some plain. (Similar design to 1183858)
Provenance
Accepted by HM Treasury on 21st March, 1963 in lieu of tax and conveyed to National Trust ownership on 29th November 1963.
