Summary
A mahogany and tapestry pole firescreen, English, late 18th/19th century, the tall pole topped with a turned finial, the lower turned section on tripod base, each cabriole leg terminating in pad feet, the square screen with mahogany frame enclosing a tapestry panel depicting a basket of flowers and leaves on a brown ground, the rear of the panel covered with (ripped) red damask, a brass securing loop to the lower edge, the upper loop missing.
