Summary
Linen damask fragment. The white fabric is possibly from a napkin, and is based on seven point satin, décochement 5. It has a guilloche border pattern, with a 4cm. vertical repeat.The fragment is rectangular, and appears to have been torn along a straight line on two edges and cut along a third; the fourth edge is a plain weave selvage.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
