Summary
Coin. A Russian Catherine II 1 Polushka copper coin. The obverse shows a monogram of Empress Catherine II, surrounded by a laurel wreath and the date 177[...]. The reverse shows St George slaying a dragon with an inscription E M below the horse. The coin has a ribbed edge and has been stamped off-centre so that one section is missing.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
