Summary
Coin. A British George III copper halfpenny coin. The obverse shows a young head with laurel wreath facing right within a circular inscription GEORGIVS III.REX. The reverse shows Britannia facing left within a beaded border with an inscription BRITTANNIA 1773 at the base.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
