Summary
Baby's cap. An ivory silk damask baby's cap dated 1750 (circa). Fabric of ivory silk damask. Design repeat not complete, acanthus leaf scrolls. Lined with undyed bleached linen plain weave. Trimmed with top stitching at seams in ivory silk thread. Hand sewn, close fitting, two points at crown top.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
