Summary
Top hat. A grey top hat dated 1950 (circa). Fabric of grey felt, raised nap. Trimmed with black wool band; and grey silk petersham ribbon edging. Lined with grey cotton twill weave, cream leather, cream silk plain weave. Label 'Extra Quality by Appointment, Scott and Co. Hatters to H.M. the King and The Royal family 'Old Bond Street Piccadilly W. NY-L'.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
