Summary
Top hat. A top hat dated to first half of 20th century. Fabric of black silk raised nap brushed 'beaver'. Trimmed with black petersham edging; and black wool band. Lined with buff leather, silk braid, cream silk plain weave. Label 'By Special Appointment Lincoln Bennett and Co Sackville St. Piccadilly London. Gould and Son Bath Agents'; written in biro 'Philip Yorke'; and written in ink 'R.T.A.Hughes. Bruton.'

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
