Summary
Hatbox. A top hat box dated to the first half of the 20th century. The fabric is of brown leather, metal studs, buckles etc; some tooling. Lined with white cotton plain weave, printed blue stripe, adding and card support. Stitching and glue. Leather surface worn.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
