Summary
Coat. One of four beige livery overcoats from a servant's livery made of wool with a raised nap, dated c. 1900. It is trimmed with red wool with a raised nap; braid unbalanced plain weave ridge, white, grey, yellow and red wool; six metal buttons with embossed lion's head; one breast pocket; one inside breast pocket; and a coathanger. The lining is of brown, red, beige and white wool, twill weave; and beige cotton, twill weave and there is an interlining of undyed linen. Handsewn

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
