Summary

Stand; Inkstand. A George II plain oblong silver inkstand, on four scroll- and-leaf feet, with a moulded rim incurved at the corners to hold a baluster inkwell; pounce pot and a handbell with a baluster handle. The bell isengraved with the Yorke crest. Thomas Whipham, London 1744.

Provenance

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
