In undated early 19th century (circa 1820 at time of house picture cleaning) Erddig inventory as: "Queen Jane Seymour - Dtto [= Holbein]" and thence by descent; given by Philip Yorke III (1905 – 1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
