Summary
Oil painting on canvas. A painting of Margaret Holland, Mrs Yorke (1778-1848), reputedly with her Daughter Anne (1810-1853), [but more probably her eldest Son, Simon Yorke III (1811-1894)], British School, circa 1815. A three-quarter-length double portrait. She is seated on the left, looking to right, wearing a green dress and the child on her knees is playing cards at a table. Labelled 'Margaret Yorke, (circa 1816) and her eldest daughter Anne, afterwards Mrs Birch Reynardson', although it is more probably her first born son Simon Yorke III.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905 – 1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
