Summary
Oil painting on canvas. Painting of Philip Yorke III (1905 - 1978), with his Dog 'Trixie' by Jacqueline D. Geldart (b.1942), signed bottom right: J. D. Geldart./Feb. 77 [1977]. A bust-length portrait, slightly to right, with a border collie dog, in suit with a tie with broad blue, gold and red stripe. ' Trixie' had died at the time of the portrait and was painted from sketches and a photograph.
Provenance
Commissioned in 1977; given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust.
