Summary
Oil painting on canvas. Painting of Simon Yorke III (1811-1894), British School, 1835. A half-length portrait of son of Simon Yorke II, as a young man, aged twenty-four, to right wearing a pale mauve coat and yellow waistcoat. Simon Yorke was born on 6 April 1811. He was the son of Simon Yorke. (1771-1834) and Margaret Holland (1778-1848). He married, on 6 August 1846, Victoria Mary Louisa Cust (1823-1895) the daughter of General The Hon. Sir Edward Cust, 1st Bt (1794-1878) and Mary Anne Boode,. He died on 12 February 1894 at age 82. Burke’s Peerage.
