Summary
Dolls' house kitchen wall. The north wall of the dolls' house kitchen, consisting of the back of the cabinet, which is painted white with a black painted skirting board. In the centre of the wall is a chimney breast, with a black-painted fireplace, which has a white-painted fire surround. Above this are two strips of notched wood to hold kitchen implements. Above these, slightly arched, is painted 'WASTE NOT WANT NOT' in black. On either side of the chimney breast are four wooden shelves, each with a shaped edge tacked on. On the left hand side, extra pieces of wood have been added between the shelves, possibly as supports and a different colour paint and perhaps some paper, can be seen behind them. On the right hand side, under the bottom shelf, is a shaped support, with fragments of striped paper behind it and a small piece of wood at the base forming a box with the walls.
