Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Possibly Simon Yorke I (1696-1767), British (English) School. c.1725. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a young man, facing, gazing at the spectator, in long powdered wig, wearing a brown coat and white stock. Florid complexion.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
