Summary
A sword. An English small sword, the blade of Colichemarde type, the silver hilt bearing London hallmarks for 1760-61 and the maker's mark 'John Rowe', and inscribed 'Presented by the Duke of York to Lieutenant (afterwards Sir Barnard) Turner in 1761'.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
