Summary
An infant's folding, white painted metal cot and folding bassinet. Both on castors. (i) Cot. The metal frame supports string netting which holds a linen canvas base and cotton squab mattress (b). An overhanging rod (c) would support a protective drape. Stamp on the base 'The Universal Cot. Retail at All Baby Linen Warehouses Attained the Highest Award at The Inventions Exhibition 1885. No 5 Quality'
