Summary
A stained softwood and beech glazed display case, English or Welsh, possibly made on the estate at Erddig, late 19th/early 20th century. Of broadening rectangular form, and with a solid top with galleried ends. All four sloping sides glazed and each long side with a hinged, lifting central door. Above plain friezes and raised on six ring- and baluster-turned legs.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
