Summary
An ash and beech chair, England or Wales, early 19th century. The back of three moulded splats above a boarded seat. Raised on slightly tapering square-section front legs and slightly outswept rectangular-section rear legs. Joined by an 'H'-shaped stretcher and a rear stretcher.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
