Summary
A mahogany chest of drawers, English, mid-18th century. With applied quarter beads to all of the angles, and of four graduated and cockbeaded oak-lined drawers. The top drawer once fitted for dressing and writing; the second drawer flanked by cockbeaded lopers to support the top drawer when open. Fitted with pierced brass escutcheons and backplate, and bale handles. With base moulding and raised on bracket feet.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
