Summary
A sycamore, beech elm and pine kitchen work table, or butcher's table, Welsh or English, late 19th/early 20th century. The very thick beech top with sycamore cleats and metal braces at the corners. Raised on a base of elm and pine, and fitted with a pair of deep drawers with metal handles. Raised on six later 'Shepherd' castors.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
