Summary
A mahogany drop-leaf dining table, English, circa 1760, part of a set with two 'D'-shaped ends. Of very fine mahogany, the underside of all three boards forming the top with a 'combed' finish, the marks of a toothing plane, and all with rounded edge. The friezes plain and raised on four square-section legs with internal stop chamfers. The underside of the top fitted with sprung brass catches; the hinges of iron.
