Summary
A mahogany drop-leaf dining table, English, mid-18th century. With a rectangular fixed top and two rectangular drop-leaves, hinged with iron, and with shaped and rounded edge. Unusually raised on only two legs - two fixed legs beneath the fixed top - and two pairs of hinged gates, to support the drop-leaves when raised. The legs block and 'club'-turned, and with pad feet. The blocks at the top of the legs with a beaded outer corner.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
