Summary
A joined oak mule chest, North Wales, probably Denbighshire, mid-18th century. The two-plank lid with moulded edge and underbearers, and iron hinges. The front of three fielded panels above a pair of fielded short drawers. One with original turned yew-wood handles, the other with later tassel handles. Raised on extended stile supports and with applied base moulding. The ends panelled. Iron lock.

Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
