A dressing stool, one of a pair of fruitwood - probably cherry - stools, French, circa 1770. The seat upholstered in leather, with printed cotton loose cover, and with simple rails on four cabriole legs.
Provenance
Given by Phillip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
