Summary
A spinning wheel. The carved, wooden, upright spinning wheel, from the18th Century, has an eight-spoked wheel with ivory mounts, and a triangular stand with carved decoration. It has a bellow-shaped pedal, and a distaff with a carved cup and again ivory mounts.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
