Summary
Glass tumbler. An engraved glass armorial marriage tumbler, of bucket shape, engraved on one side with the arms of Yorke quartering Meller and impaling Hutton (for Simon Yorke I), the reverse with the Yorke crest. Commemorates the marriage in 1740 of Simon Yorke I and Dorothy Hutton.
Provenance
Given by Philip Yorke III (1905-1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973.
