Summary
Walnut veneered stereoscopic viewer with two eye-pieces and funnel shape body. Slot at end in which to slide photographs (see HHE/Misc/54). Hinged door on top with mirror and central prong. Late 19th century - 1850s stereoscopes for use with daguerrotypes in fashion. NB. Two lenses, 2.5 inches apart therefore creating three-dimensional view as eyes would do.
