Summary
Oak longcase clock with mahogany veneer on part. Open pediment with volutes, on to which round metal discs are fastened. Cross-banded mahogany veneer around clock face, with arched top. Freestanding mahogany columns with intarsia either side face, simple reeded metal capital and base. Panel of figured mahogany veneer below head cornice. Door of oak with band of mahogany and flint-shaped ivory inlay around key. Outstanding round hinges. Inlaid strips of mahogany with dark blue lines between imitating pilasters either side door. Oak base with mahogany banding. Ogee curve base with bracket feet (damaged). Painted enamel face with shells painted within blue edged spandrels. Milkmaid and yokel in top arch, painted in polychrome. Second hand within face. Name inscribed on face. Late 18th century.
