Print, mezzotint Nancy Dawson (c.1730-1767) in 'The Beggar's Opera' by John Gay (after British (English) School) possibly Michael Jackson (fl.18th century). circa 1730 - 1767. (Pencil note - 'she was a popular English dancer and contemporary of actor Ned Shuter (1728 - 1776). Portrait depicts her ina perforamnce of 'The Beggar's Opera' at Covent Garden in October 1759 when she replaced a Mr. Miles and performed the hornpipe. Original painting in Garrick Club collection.')
