Three figures in the barn theatre at Smallhythe Place lit from the left. A green stage curtain at left, a further patterned curtain being hung and a small white prescenium with ironic columns and rough beams overhead. Edith 'Edy' Craig seated on the stage with a work basket, Charles Staite on ladder and Miss Irene Cooper-Willis, Edy's solicitor, the foremost figure writing at the edge of the stage.
