Summary
A South German walnut and burr elm writing table dated to the second quarter of the eighteenth century, the shaped cabinet at the back with eleven small drawers and a central cupboard enclosing fitted drawers. The base holds two drawers and is supported by cabriole legs united by shaped stretchers, and it is inlaid overall with pewter lines, the top centred by a figure with term figures and scrolls in ivory within a shaped panel.
