Summary
A heavily carved sandalwood box on flat bun feet with a lifting top, which is fitted with a brass lock and decorative rectangular set handle on a pierced strip back plate with foliate patterning, also of brass. All sides are bordered by a chain of carved circular forms, the small side panels each centered by a stemmed flower, the back by three flower heads within circular recesses, the top by foliate forms encircling the handle, and the front with two birds facing towards a central flower head that is set in a circular fashion.
