Summary
A padouk and engraved ivory table cabinet, Goa, India or Sindh, Pakistan, circa 1660. Engraved with foliage design, drop front reveals a fitted interior with six small drawers. A label inside this box records that this was a gift from the Marquess and Marchioness of Hartington to the Hon. Ursula Lawley (1888-1979) on the occasion of her marriage to George Gibbs, 1st Baron Wraxall (1873-1931) in 1927.
