Summary
Design for a victory car for "John Churchil (sic) Prince of the Holy Empire etc. Duke of Marleboroug" impressed and cut into white paper "J.Kluft Junior fecit Anno 1705" with inscription beneath in Latin and Dutch. In a double-sided glazed mahogany frame with hinged wall fittings. Labelled "Municipality of Amsterdam" Inscription previously listed as reading "J.K. Luft"

In 1946 Winston Churchill visited Amsterdam and at the occasion he was offered this original piece of paper art made by the artist J. Kluft in 1705 for the general John Churchill, the first Duke of Marlborough, his ancestor.
