Design for a plate warmer, cut out and pasted onto a thin paper sheet, perhaps not the original page mentioned in the Christie's description, which has a pencil note: "Plate warmer now in Dining Room". Formerly in "Designs and drawings of Kedleston" [CMS inv. no. 109482] as p. [9].

Possibly created by James Athenian Stuart for Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Baron Scarsdale. By descent to Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale. Acquired by gift as part of the transfer of Kedleston Hall to the National Trust in 1986.
