Summary
Design of a ceiling for the Drawing Room. With unmarked scale. Some measurements given on the side. In ink above the drawing: "Design of a Ceiling in the Antique Taste for the Venetian Wind[ow]. Drawing Room at Kedleston"; followed in pencil in Lord Curzon's hand: "(Executed". Signed and dated: "Robt Adam Architect 1759". [see also CMS inv nos 109433, 109434, 109435, and 109436]. Formerly in "Sections of Rooms at Kedleston" [CMS inv. no. 109428], as p. [17]. Numbered "10" in ink. On reverse, ink and faint pencil outline sketches.

Created by Robert Adam for Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Baron Scarsdale. By descent to Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale. Acquired by gift as part of the transfer of Kedleston Hall to the National Trust in 1987.
