Summary
Design of a fabric pattern for a gown for Caroline Curzon nee Colyear (Lady Scarsdale). In pencil (2x): "Lady Scarsdale's Purple Gown". Note in ink: "The Star to be all Spangles, the Sattin to appear thro' where black'd". Watermark: Strasbourg bend sinister with initials LVG; countermark: IV.

Unattributed drawing possibly for Lady Caroline Colyear, Lady Scarsdale. By descent to Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale. Acquired by gift as part of the transfer of Kedleston Hall to the National Trust in 1986.
